Pokemon GO Valentine's Day 2019 Event Details Revealed

As many Pokemon GO fans are well aware, Niantic’s mobile augmented reality game based on the popular Nintendo franchise typically observes the year’s various holidays from around the globe, with one of the more recent events in the title having been centered around the Lunar New Year. Now, with Valentine’s Day in full swing, the ARG’s developer has decided to unveil details regarding what players should expect out of PoGO‘s V-Day event for 2019.

According to Niantic, the Pokemon GO Valentine’s Day Celebration for 2019 officially began on February 13 at 1:00 PM PST, and features a bevy of different pink Pocket Monsters, with the likes of Clefairy, Hoppip, and Luvdisc having their spawn rates increased to appear more frequently in the wild. What’s more is that certain pink Pokemon will hatch more frequently from 7 km Eggs, and pink Pokemon such as Chansey and Porygon will show up more frequently in Raid Battles. PoGO‘s V-Day Celebration for 2019 will end on February 21 at 1:00 PM PST.

In addition to the aforementioned details, Pokemon GO‘s Valentine’s Day Celebration for 2019 will include bonuses that last the duration of the event, including the increase of Lure Modules lasting for six hours, and players getting twice the amount of Catch Candy. Some players are even reporting that they’ve come across a new Spinda form that depicts the creature with a heart spot on its forehead.

All things considered, it looks like Pokemon GO fans will have plenty of activities to keep them occupied during the game’s Valentine’s Day Celebration for 2019, for if one exhausts themselves of the V-Day content, February’s Community Day occurs this weekend, too. With this being the case, Trainers would do well to keep an eye out for the Gen 2 Ice-type Swinub on Saturday, as it is the featured Pokemon for Community Day this month.

Pokemon GO is available now for Android and iOS devices.
