Fortnite season 9 is near its end and so is the season challenge of finding 100 Fortbytes across the battle island. As of this writing, there are only two left to be found: #21 and #38. The latter will be revealed on July 17, but the most recent Fortbyte, #21, can be found now. This Fortbyte sees players returning to a place that has been in Fortnite for a long time and has itself been featured in various challenges.
To find Fortbyte 21, Fortnite players will need to drop on the metal llama. Chances are, many will know where this landmark is, but for those who do not, it is located to the northwest of Junk Junction. The easiest method of finding Fortbyte 21 is to land on the metal llama’s back and go through the door that goes into its neck. Go through that door and down the small ramp on the other side to find Fortbyte 21.
As a word of warning, however, the season is almost over, and this is one of the last Fortbytes to be found. This means that the metal llama may become a bit of a hotspot, so landing, grabbing it quickly, and getting out will be the best approach for finding this Fortnite collectible. The same goes for Forbyte 38 when it becomes available.
It’s also worth mentioning that, since the season is almost over, any other hidden Fortnite collectibles that haven’t been picked up yet will need to be done ASAP. One of the other most recently unlocked Fortbytes is 33, which is found at a location hidden within loading screen 10. It will not likely be as covered with players as Fortbyte 21 today or Fortbyte 38 tomorrow, so this may be the best time if it hasn’t been picked up yet.
It’s unclear if Fortnite intends to have another challenge like Fortbytes when season 10 launches in the coming weeks, but it seems likely, as many seemed to have enjoyed hunting Fortbytes more than finding hidden banners as an alternative to secret battle stars. Speaking of, for those who haven’t found the last one yet, here is where to find the Fortnite season 9 week 9 battle star.
Fortnite is out now in early access for Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
