Fortnite‘s season 9 week 8 challenges are here. They require players to complete a landing challenge, deal 500 damage with assault rifles, apply 400 shields, visit 3 different clocks around the battle island, and more. The trick to the latter Fortnite challenge is not visiting the various clocks but finding them instead.
It’s worth mentioning that there are various clocks around the battle island, but this challenge seems tied to specific clocks in Fortnite. Thus far, there is confirmation on 4 different clocks that count toward this challenge, and they are scattered rather evenly across the battle island. The first and perhaps most recognizable clock is in Neo Tilted which replaced the old clock tower with a digital clock tower when Tilted Towers was destroyed.
There is also one in Junk Junction that is a throwaway clock on the ground. For this clock to count for this Fortnite challenges, players will have to stand directly on top of this clock. Southeast of Fatal Fields is a small hill where players can also find a sundial that counts, and Sunny Steps has a sundial in the center that will also count. But thanks to the spacing between each location (as seen in the map below), this will likely have to take place over the course of a few matches.
Of course, these places will be hot zones for this challenge, especially given that the end of season 9 is so close. Multiple players will be hitting each clock, likely from the drop. That makes each harder to unlock, but the most direct method of landing in each location from the drop is still probably the most effective approach. And once players have finished this week’s Fortnite challenges, they may very well want to tie up any loose ends before season 9 ends.
Fortnite season 9 week 8 didn’t introduce a hidden collectible to find, but season 9 week 9 is expected to have a secret battle star. In other words, those who didn’t find the Fortnite season 9 week 7 secret battle star location last week may have the time to do so this week.
Fortnite is out now in early access for Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
