Fortnite Season 9 has so far been marked by its frequent special events. We’ve already had an Avengers: Endgame event and a John Wick event, both of which came with special skins, emotes, and game modes. And now, fresh off the heels of the John Wick event, we have a crossover with Michael Jordan.
The Michael Jordan/Fortnite event includes a Tony Hawk Pro Skater-style game mode called Downtown Drop. The goal of Downtown Drop is to collect coins and complete objectives, like finding cardboard cutouts of Jonesy that are hidden around the track.
Finding Jonesy in Downtown Drop is necessary to complete all of the challenges and unlock the limited-time cosmetics. So, here is where players can find Jonesy in Fortnite‘s Downtown Drop mode.
The first Jonesy is found “hidden behind a fence,” which isn’t a lot to go by. However, he’s not that tough to find. From the starting area, follow the street around the first corner. Then continue following the street to the second corner, where there is a Pizza Pit truck parked. Go around the corner and down the steep hill, but hug the left side of the road, on the sidewalk. If done properly, the player character should hit a curved wooden fence and be sent into a back alley where the Jonesy cutout can be found.
Not far from the first Jonesy location is an open manhole in the middle of the road. Fall down the manhole and basically just follow the current. Players will be led through some twisting sewer pipes with Jonesy hidden at the end of it.
From the starting area, hug the left side of the street. At the first corner, take note of the basketball court that’s fenced in with some green fencing. Open the gate and approach Jonesy.
Now, we must note that this challenge and the next two Jonesy locations are actually part of the same Fortnite Downtown Drop challenge. However, players do not have to find them all in the same match, so don’t worry if the time is running low.
At the second corner, right before the Pizza Pit truck, there is some stairs on the right side of the street. Above those stairs is a fire escape with some coins on it. Throw the Impulse Grenade on the ground and then jump so that the blast throws the character on top of this fire escape. Collect the coins and head inside the under construction building to find Jonesy.
This one is found right at the beginning of a round. Look at the left side of the street, before the first wooden ramps. There is an alleyway here illuminated by a street light, with a basketball backboard visible. Go through this alley to find some vehicles parked, with Jonesy sitting in the back of a truck.
Fortnite is out now in early access for iOS, Android, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
